Study in Greece

Study Abroad in Greece

Why do the 60s feel like such ancient history? Well, for most of us it has mostly to do with us not having been around yet; we weren't there for the 60s, therefore the 60s were a long, long, long time ago. It's hard to care about something you weren't there for.

This is especially true with ancient history. We learn stories about Plato and Aristotle and Pythagoras and these are lumped together with other stories about Achilles and Odysseus and Prometheus, and they all exist equitably in some glossy, faraway place. (For the record, the first 3 were actual people, the second 3 are characters in Greek literature.) But there is a crucial difference between the 60s and ancient Greece. You can't go to the 60s, and you can't go to ancient Greece, but...well, you can go to Greece itself. And, if you're a college student looking for an opportunity to study abroad, you could hardly do better.

International Business: Greece

This program provides students with insights into the international business and political environment within the European Union as well as a chance to experience Greek culture. During this four-week program students will be introduced to key issues in the European/Greek/American economic, business, and e-business relationships. Guest lecturers will be from the business, academic, and political community.

  • Students will receive 6 credit hours through courses taught in English and guided by UA faculty. The program includes ten hours of preparatory instruction at UA as well as a paper, giving students a background in Greece's (and Europe’s) current business, political and cultural environment.

  • There will also be field trips to businesses, cultural, and historical sites and government institutions (ie: a 4 day, 3 night excursion to Santorini; visits to local businesses such as MS, IBM, CERES Shipping, a visit to the US Embassy and the European Union, and an organized tour around Athens)

Art History Study Tours by The Course

“Thank you for leaving us with so many wonderful memories – it exceeded all expectations – truly magical and you have left us with so much to savour and further explore”

If you’re interested in travelling with lecturers who know their destinations intimately and can take you to places not usually open to the public, The Course can offer far more than the average tourist experience. We launched our travel arm in 1995 with a study tour to Japan and since then we have run tours throughout Europe, America, China, Egypt, India and Turkey. Our aim is to make the tours as exciting and friendly as possible. So whilst many of those travelling on the tours are students on our teaching programmes you are welcome to bring family and friends along. The tours are arranged by us but are facilitated through bonded agents, so you have the security offered by a large company while enjoying the flexibility of an independent organisation.
